The MM3 60 GA/45 is an evolution of the travelscope concept pioneered by Opticron. Constructed from polycarbonate and lightweight alloys, the super-compact optical system creates a body just 247mm/9.7" long weighing about the same as pair of 42mm binoculars.
They can be hand held for crystal clear flat field observation at magnifications below 20x but unlike binoculars deliver magnifications up to 45x for close-up accurate observations at distance.

Opticron do their eyepieces in various levels of quality
A wide range of eyepieces are available for Opticron fieldscopes. Choosing the right one can be confusing but making the right choice will depend on price and application.
It is important you remember the eyepiece is an integral part of the system and choosing a lower quality eyepiece will affect image quality.
1. HR3 41145: Standard HR fixed magnification eyepiece with a wide field of view and long eye relief for comfort with or without glasses.

Universal Tele-adapter UTA 2X

The Opticron Universal Tele-Adapter allows you to increase the magnification of selected Opticron binoculars or telescope+eyepiece combinations by a factor of 2. Fitted to a binocular the 40951 UTA converts one half into a higher powered long eye relief monocular.
It also connects to Opticron SDL, HDF, HR and IS eyepieces.
The UTA 2x is supplied as body only with the option of fitting separate screw-on connection rings of different diameters.
