CineStill analogue films

January 2024

I am planning to dedicate a couple of pages of the website to feature local analogue film users - what films they like, what they like shooting, a couple of their favourite photos, how they got into film photography etc. Now just need some film user victims to step forward lol.

I am especially interested in people shooting films like Lomography, Washi, Flic, Cinestill, Infrared films etc.

If you fancy a bit of free publicity for your hobby, see me (Jen) in the shop, or email me a bit of info about yourself (j-darwin@btconnect.com).

Great rated ISO 200-2000! Can be pushed to 3000! CineStill 800Tungsten is a unique film for still photographers. This 800 speed tungsten balanced color negative film is prepared from the same motion picture film stock used by top cinematographers around the world. This film is designed for difficult low light tungsten situations and may be used in many different lighting situations to achieve a variety of looks.

The proprietary "Premoval" process makes motion picture film safe to process in standard C-41 photo lab chemicals or at home. This emulsion is optimized for a hybrid workflow ideal for scanning, and when processed in C-41 chemistry it can be optically printed on RA-4 paper. Treat this film as a high speed 800 ISO film when processing in C-41 and push proccesing
whenever needed up to 3200 ISO.

Cinestill Xpro 800 Tungsten 120mm

CineStill 400D

35mm 400 ISO

Colour negative

This is a fine grain daylight balanced colour negative film that delivers a soft colour palette with natural saturation and rich, warm skin tones.

The film has a wide dynamic range (hence its full name Cinestill 400Dynamic 35mm), with a base sensitivity of ISO 400, but it can be rated from 200 to 800 and it can be pushed up to 3200. This makes Cinestill 400D highly versatile, usable both indoors or in the studio, under virtually any lighting conditions.

400D was specifically designed for still photography to be processed in C-41 chemistry by any photo lab or at home. In addition, it also features a process-surviving anti-static lubricant coating ideal film for both manual SLRs and automatic winding cameras.

Cinestill 400D 35mm film continues CineStill’s ongoing tradition of cinematic film emulsions made for still photographers, allowing them to maximize their creativity and produce remarkable images that express who they are as artists.
