E6 slide films, 35mm and 120mm

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am dedicating some pages of this website to a project I've decided to start: Having worked here over 30 years, I worked through the original years of people using film cameras first time round. The world has changed so much since then, but these old film cameras are being used again by younger generations of people eager to explore film photography for the first time, second time round.

I'm interested to explore all sorts of films/methods/interests, including the newer film emulsions like Lomography, Washi, Flic, Cinestill, etc, as well as old-school Gold, Ilford, Polaroid, Infrared films, 126mm, half-frame, panoramic, 127mm etc.

This is NOT a 'best photo' competition; it's about you and your love for film photography. And it's just for local Sheffield dwellers at this time (whether indigenous or at Uni etc here).

I'm also interested in finding out more about new film users.  So I've complied a list of questions, and am asking local film camera users if they would be willing to display some of their images on here, and  answer some questions if they are happy with that.

SO... My first few pagse have been created, and can be viewed here.

If you would like a page too, to express your thoughts, film user experiences and images, call in the shop or ring me, Jen, to get started. (0114) 2667077

Flic Chrome

100 ISO 36 exposures

Colour slide E6 film.

Chrome 100 is a daylight-balanced colour transparency film characterised by its extremely fine grain structure, vibrant colour rendering, and overall low contrast profile. The lower contrast values contribute to a wide dynamic range and a neutral tonal scale for greater colour accuracy, and a low D-min helps to ensure brighter, whiter whites.

It has a medium-speed nominal sensitivity of ISO 100/21° when developed in E-6 process and the smooth grain profile pairs with a micro-structure optimised T-GRAIN emulsion to make it especially well-suited to scanning applications.

This is Respooled KODAK Ektachrome 100D colour positive film. Kodak and Ektachrome are trademarks of Eastman Kodak Company.

We can process this film via our pro laboratory service. For prices see here.
